One of my favorite things is to sit for an early morning coffee at ESPL in Surfers Paradise. Great coffee, amazing crumpets with maple syrup, terrific dunked in your coffee. More than that though I love to strike up a conversation with a stranger. This lady turned out to be responsible for starting the Australian Chapter of International Coach Guild of which I’m a member. She now consults helping fortune 500 companies become environmentally sustainable. Very cool lady.


Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.


1) An amazing event I attended...

The Vision 2020 Retreat. This week Michelle and I attended the Vision 2020 Retreat on the Gold Coast. An amazing 3 days of planning how we want the year 2020 to turn out. It all started with spending a few days at home doing my Envisioning process (check it out below) so that we both have a clear vision for what we wanted to bring off our vision board into 2020 and set some powerful goals around them. Fantastic to be in a room with 300 hundred other small business owners all wanting to grow their business and their lifestyle. I strongly recommend you do the envisioning process then get yourself a mentor or coach to guild you through a structured goal setting exercise, so that you set yourself up for success.


2) A great exercise I did before the retreat...

The Envisioning Process. This fantastic process lets you envision (look from inside you) how you want the next 10 years to look. It allows you to create a “mud map” of the things you want to achieve, build, buy, people you want to meet, an experience you what to have and importantly the character you want to develop. It allows you to be kind to yourself by not biting off more than you can chew, yet at the same time keeping all your dreams alive.

It is, in my opinion, one of the most powerful exercises you can do.

3) A mind-blowing experience I went through...

Breath Workshop. Yep, literally a workshop on how to breathe. It was incredible to understand the power of breath and how to use it to create more clarity, energy, and focus. What we also did was an intense breathing session. Which to oversimplify involved breathing lots, flooding our bodies with oxygen, ridding it of carbon dioxide and pumping our lymphatics and cerebrospinal fluid. The result, an out of body experience.
