3 THINGS THURSDAY - 29 June 2023

This pic is of the Carvosso Clan at our Annual birthday getaway. My brother James and my queen Michelle celebrate their birthdays on the 23rd and 24th of June. So this year we got away to The Summit Adventure Camp in Trafalgar for the weekend. It was great to see the family being stretched together, with activities like “The Giant Swing”, “Leap of Faith”, “Sky Bridge”, and “Summit Window”. Most of these were conducted some meters off the ground and required lots of trust. Trust in the equipment and process, trust in Logan (my son Logan facilitated the event), and trust in your own body and abilities. Our family motto is “Families that grow together stay together.” Ps. We did also eat lots of birthday cake and way too many lollies.  


Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.

1) Ripper uplifting TV series...

Ted Lasso


Wow, with so much dark, negative, destructive, violent and depressing content now mainstream on free to air and streaming TV it was refreshing to stumble across Ted Lasso. It's basically about an optimistic, upbeat guy who looks on the bright side of life. His cup is always half full, even in times when people are doing their best to empty it. If you want something to lift your mood, and have 35min up your sleeve then please give it a go. It takes (like most series) a few episodes to get the gist, but it's well worth it. Love to know what you think..


2) Great radio station I’m the host of...

RPP FM - Health Matters


I’m back on air. Season 2 of "Health Matters" has kicked off this week. What? Yes, we have our own community Radio Station on the Mornington Peninsula. It puts the likes of 3MP to shame. All local hosts, providing local content. My show on Tue 11am - 1pm is all about health. I have up to 4 guests every week to discuss everything health. Women's health, nutrition, sexual health, animal health, mental health, movement, sports performance, and even the occasional celebrity sharing their health journey. I play great upbeat music (No Rap), have fun and inspire the local community to better health. Tune in 98.7 on the dial every Tue 11am - 1pm or stream live on the link above.


3) Something I recently read...

I Will Teach You to Be Rich


Ramit Sethi is the personal finance guru whose New York Times bestseller, 'I Will Teach You to Be Rich', has helped over a million readers get on the path to financial independence through a highly practical six-week program. Great book and here’s what I loved the most. Remit encourages us to spend on the top 3 things we love, the things that are important and save on the things that don’t matter to us. You can also check him out on Netflix.
