3 THINGS THURSDAY - 15 June 2023

Over the weekend my family and I had our first trip of the season to Mt Buller.
Although I am a warmth chaser, summer girl through and through.
It is the landscape of the mountains, the snow on the trees, and people rugged up with their hot drinks,

that also allows me to slow down, enjoy the present and the surroundings.
Hopefully more weekends with more snow will be on the cards this winter.
 


Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.


1) Book I have just finished...

Make it Happen


Over the past week I have been reading / listening to an amazing book…. ‘Make it happen’ by Joranna Levin. It was recommended to me by my acupuncturist after I said something about being blocked in energy and not being able to step forward. Not only did it change my perception of my beliefs in myself, but it also has given me the boost in life I need right now. The way I manifest, the way I talk about money, my relationships, have all benefited and taken a positive step forward since changing the way my inner dialogue speaks and the way I am putting my energy into manifesting what I want next.


2) Selfcare after caring for others...


As a practitioner we often forget about ourselves as we love helping others. I have a few clients that provide services, and often my first question is, ‘what do you do for you?!’. Which is often responded with…..’what do you mean?’.
My selfcare therapy that is a non negotiable for me is Acupuncture. I have appointments when I need them, but mostly fortnightly. I see my acupuncturist for anything health related, as a female, mainly for reproductive hormones. Although this is what I love supporting in the clinic, you often need that second opinion, she is someone I trust. I always leave in a daze as I have had the most amazing nap. But also feeling like I have had a nice reset.


So…. make sure you have your thing. What do you do for you?

3) Something I’m contemplating and finding inspiration from your kids...


A couple of months ago my daughter completed her first kids triathlon…. And it has inspired me. I think I am going to do one….. A fun one. So one not so big. If you know me, you know I am NOT a cardio person. Give me kilograms to squat or deadlift. However, as I reach 36, and maybe after finishing my most recent book ‘Make it Happen’, I’m going to push myself and do something I never thought I would. Although it is 6 months away, as a non-cardio inspired person, I do need to start training and take it slow as I am prone to burnout. But, watch this space……. I can do it. :) My biggest hurdle will be closer to the time, ditching the weights and running, riding or swimming instead.

I wish you all the best on your journey, make a ritual of looking for the gold in your life, it is there, you just got to look.
